My love of all things sport and fitness-related goes back to my childhood. Sports day was always my favourite day of the school year and as I got older I represented my school at various events and swam at county level. The wheels fell off a little bit at university (don’t they always?) and I took up running to try and stop my bottom getting wider. Always a sprinter, I found distance running sooo hard and it wasn’t until, aged 25, I tackled the London Marathon and completed my debut at the distance in 3 hours 33 minutes

With a swimming background and my running improving it wasn’t long before I took up triathlon. At first I ventured only as far as sprint events with pool swims but with a bit of confidence built up, I braved the cold water of Eton Lake and managed to win the Timex Women’s Only sprint distance event in July 2007. Since then I’ve had several top ten finishes in Olympic distance triathlons, including coming third in my age group at the London Triathlon in August 2010. My most recent challenge was taking on the Ironman distance (3.8km swim, 180km bike, 42.2km run) at Ironman Wales in Tenby, on 11 September 2011. It was an overwhelming feeling to finish and whilst my time of 12 hours 44 minutes was a little over what I'd hoped for, I try to let myself off the hook given that the Wales course is considered to be one of, if not the toughest Ironman courses in the world! But, ambitions still remain...


Having completed training sessions on pretty much a daily basis for the last 25 years, I have a deep understanding of how hard it is to stay motivated and achieve your health and fitness goals. I bring with me all that experience to the training sessions that I provide for you to ensure that whatever exercise or programme you are doing is not only moving you towards your goals but is also achievable and satisfying.

For me, there is nothing so professionally satisfying as seeing you achieve your goals and very often, going to levels way beyond what you thought you were capable of. I’m truly fascinated by the human body, how different each one is but also how adaptable and resilient we really can be. Together, we can be an unstoppable force!
